Understanding Product Condition
At NextGen Perfumes, we want customers to understand what to expect when purchasing designer and niche fragrances. Bottle finishes, factory packaging, and the condition selected at checkout may affect a product's appearance. Please review the condition and variant listed on each product page before placing an order.
Cosmetic Condition & Inspection Guide
| Reported condition | How we assess it |

| Extremely faint surface marks visible only under certain lighting | May be considered a minor cosmetic variation, depending on the product's advertised condition. |
| Small superficial scuffs that do not significantly affect appearance | May be classified as minor cosmetic imperfections, evaluated in context. |
| Noticeable scratches across the front or other prominent areas of the bottle | Reviewed as potential cosmetic damage based on severity, visibility, and the advertised condition. |
| Deep scratches, cracks, leakage, damaged atomizers, or defective components | Reviewed as potentially significant damage or defects requiring individual assessment and an appropriate resolution where applicable. |
Packaging Movement & Cosmetic Variations
Fragrance bottles are packaged by their manufacturers. Some packaging may allow limited internal movement during handling or transportation, and incidental contact can sometimes contribute to minor superficial marks. A particular scratch or scuff cannot be assumed to have resulted from shipping without supporting evidence.
We make reasonable efforts to describe product condition accurately, identify known material imperfections, and package shipments securely. Minor marks are not automatically acceptable on every item simply because they are cosmetic.
Product Conditions & Expectations
Factory Sealed (Full Bottle): Sold in the described sealed retail condition. A sealed product is not automatically exempt from cosmetic-damage concerns; customers may contact us if the item arrives materially damaged or not as described.
Open Box, Tester, Tester No Cap, No Box, and Damaged Box: Packaging, accessories, and cosmetic condition may differ according to the selected variant and any disclosures on the product listing. Known material imperfections will be identified where applicable.
For all items, the individual product page and selected variant determine the advertised condition, size, packaging, and included accessories.
Reporting a Concern
If you believe your item arrived with material cosmetic damage, a defect, or a condition inconsistent with its listing, please contact ngpdfw@nextgenperfumes.org with your order number, a description of the concern, and clear photographs where possible. We review concerns individually using the item description, available order and shipment documentation, and applicable law.
